Why Natural Healing May Not Be Right for You

Your mindset, health, energy levels and the condition of your hernia are the preexisting conditions that determine if natural hernia healing is right for you.

I’m not going to give you the false impression that healing a hernia is going to happen with only a few changes. Healing a hernia is really a complete health makeover.

It’s an active process. It’s going to take adjusting your lifestyle and perhaps some of your beliefs. It will take mental and physical effort to get your body healthy and strong. It will take time and commitment.

                         A Self-Evaluation

I’ll give you a self-evaluation checklist that will help you think about what’s involved and help you decide if you’re ready, and able, to try it.

It will give you a pretty good idea of your general state of health, mindset-motivation and energy levels so you can determine if it’s realistic to try healing yourself.

If you are low in any of these areas it doesn’t mean it’s not possible. It just means there is more work to be done in those areas. If you are low in all of the areas, especially motivation, then it probably means that healing at home is not right for you.

I learned from my own experience that my body healed faster when my levels climbed into the range of good and beyond. Until then my progress seemed slow.

I’m not going to make false promises about if, or how fast, you’ll heal. That depends on a lot of personal factors. Everybody’s body is unique. I am going to say that you’ll have the best tools available, anywhere, to help you.

I will also say you don’t have to be in the best physical shape to go ahead and try. I know because I wasn’t really healthy when I started. I was overweight and weak from lack of exercise. I was experiencing brain fog from the toxin buildup in my gut from my eating habits.

What enable me to heal myself was my stubborn mindset to succeed. Nothing was going to stop me!

That’s the essential point about healing. Motivation is everything. Good intentions alone, without the motivation to follow through, will fail every time. If your general state of health and energy level is not what it should be but you have the motivation, then you likely will do it.

Sincerely, this is not something that can be done by only a few lucky or physically fit individuals, living in special situations. It’s possible for you to do it if you really want it!

You just have to understand healing, believe in yourself and do the work. Your body will respond!

Your Mindset?

  • How would you rate your everyday state of mind? Do you tend to be more positive or negative in your thoughts and feelings?
  • If you are not normally positive, then would you be willing to change it if you knew how?
  • Would you be willing to change your lifestyle in order to get healthy and heal?
  • Would you say you have enough self-motivation and “grit” to do whatever it takes, long enough, to see the results you want?

Your Health?

  • How healthy would you say you are now?
  • How would you rate your lifestyle and diet?
  • What is your actual age, versus, how old do you feel you are?
  • Are you married and happy with your home life?
  • Did you live an active lifestyle before your hernia?
  • Did you play sports before your hernia?
  • How active is your lifestyle now?
  • Are you over or underweight?
  • Do you have noticeable gut problems like indigestion or gas?
  • Do you smoke?
  • Do you drink?
  • Do you have any chronic medical conditions or illnesses that might affect or interfere with your healing ability?

Your Energy Levels?

  • How would you rate your mental energy level?
  • How would you rate your physical energy level?
  • Can you feel and rate your Inner Energy (Soul, Spirit) Level?

How Far Has Your Hernia Progressed?

It is possible that your hernia has progressed too far and it might be dangerous. This would automatically tell you that surgery is your only option. You can do a self examination to find out.

If your hernia is trapped or twisted the blood supply can be cut off (strangulated). Without the blood supply, the trapped tissue will swell and die.

A strangulated intestine would be unable to pass feces, so you would have a continuous buildup in your colon. Anything you ate or drank would become trapped. That would quickly become a life-threatening emergency that needs surgery to fix.

Seek Immediate Medical Attention if:

  • Your protruding loop of intestine has become twisted and stuck outside the abdominal muscle and you can’t push it back in.
  • It looks weird and doesn’t feel right.
  • It’s bulging excessively, lopsided or twisted and has turned a red, purple or dark color.
  • You have rapidly increasing, severe pain in your abdomen or genital region that doesn’t go away.
  • You feel bloated and sick.
  • You have developed a fever, chills, nausea, or vomiting, have blood in your stool, or are unable to have a bowel movement or pass gas.

If you have any of these life threatening conditions, then go to a hospital emergency room immediately. If it’s not quite to that point yet, but could be soon, then see your physician.

If there is no medical emergency, you’re in at least ok physical shape and highly motivated to try natural healing, then go for it.

  • If your hernia is still small to medium size, not painful, goes back in easily and you can still do many, but perhaps not all, normal activities then you have caught it early enough.

There is a good possibility that you can do something about it yourself if you want to try natural healing.

Realistically, I can see that there will be a few people who won’t be able to heal themselves, even though they’d like to.

This self-evaluation will give you a very good idea if you can, and want to, self-heal your hernia at home.
