Get Healthy to Accelerate Your Hernia Healing
A good diet is obviously better for your general state of health and definitely better when you’re trying to heal your hernia.
Becoming healthy is simple.
- Stop consuming a diet that is making you weak and slowly killing you.
- Remove all the chemicals and toxic substances that have accumulated in your gut over the years.
- Switch to a high nutritional value diet that make you healthy and gives your body everything it needs to function at peak efficiency.
- Watch as it performs miracles in healing your hernia, or any other condition or disease.
Your body depends on a good diet to slow down aging, reverse sickness and promote healing. Diet includes everything you take in, from the air you breathe to what you drink and the food and other essential nutrients you eat.
A good diet provides the optimum nutrients and the energy source to keep your biological machine humming along. Without it your body gets weaker and ages quickly. In time you lose cognitive abilities and interest in using your body.
Secret: “An unhealthy or diseased body is not capable of healing quickly or easily, and if too far advanced, then healing is impossible.”
Your body is a biological miracle made up of dozens of interdependent systems and countless processes that are going on at the same time and in constant communication with each other.
They make up a finely tuned machine if everything is operating at peak efficiency.
Unfortunately, there are things going on in your digestive system that are drastically affecting your health and healing ability without your awareness.
Stop Poisoning Yourself
I’m not going to tell you what your diet should be. Everyone’s body is different in what it needs. You have preferences and a pretty good idea of what kind of food would be healthy and good for your body.
Instead, I’m going to discuss your diet from the perspective of first taking away all those things that are compromising your health, how and why they are bad for healing, and then how to change them to promote healing.
This is a real challenge because most people have a comfortable set of food preferences and will resist any big changes in what they consume without a strong motivation. There is a very strong pleasure factor at work that frequently seems to be more important than reason in everyone’s diet choices.
I want it, but is it good for me?
So, the first step is look closely at what you consume through the filter question of, “Is this good for me?” instead of, “Do I want it”?
If the answer is no, then the next question should be, “What can I substitute it with that would be good for me and that I’d enjoy eating, or at least not hate it?”
If you look at what you eat and drink from that perspective you will soon find opportunities to switch to a high nutritional value diet.
Developing a healthy diet doesn’t mean you have to change everything at once with a grand plan that you can’t stick with.
It’s really about changing all those small choices that you make every day. Every decision can become conscious.
Each one is an opportunity to move toward health and it’s easy to keep doing it because each positive choice reinforces your belief. That makes your next choice easier as it becomes a habit.
I know that most people have heard these words many times and tune them out. There are so many reasons to disregard the truth. That’s easy to understand because there are practical, everyday reasons like necessity, convenience and cost.
What’s Happening on Your Inside?
So, it’s easy not to think about your health because most of what is happening is on the inside, where you can’t see it. This creates mental filters so you don’t want to, or have to think about it. This includes thinking about your hernia and the internal conditions that may have contributed to it.
Well, it’s something you should think about if you want to heal. Diet has an enormous effect on your quality of life, but more specific here is the fact that diet, over time, created conditions that made your hernia possible.
When you really do understand how and why that happened you’ll have that big reason you need to change your diet. The benefits of being healthy and healed will become self-evident and motivate you to do something about it.
Processed Food Has Little Nutritional Value and is Full of Poisons:
Stop eating and drinking processed foods that have no nutritional value but are loaded with additives, chemical taste enhancers and toxins. The biochemists certify there are only trace amounts that couldn’t possible hurt you. However, those trace amounts accumulate in the body because the body can’t get rid of them.
They also don’t tell you that they are so potent that it only takes trace amounts for them to be effective.
There are many forms of toxic substances, including known neurotoxins that are killing the cells in your organs and brain.
Examples of Toxic Foods:
I could give you many examples, but here is one that easily comes to mind:
Regular ice cream doesn’t contain any dairy products. They substitute a white pigment from the paint industry and then add plastic to give it texture, aspartame and corn syrup to sweeten, taste enhancers to stimulate your taste buds, chemicals to fluff it up and more stabilizers to keep it fluffed up longer after it comes out of the freezer, then they add the engineered chemical flavors. There’s much more, but you get the idea. And they label it healthy because it has no sugar!
Another example:
There has been a highly successful push by the food industry to convince people to use sugar substitutes to avoid the bad effects of sugar. Well, yes sugar is not good for you but sugar substitutes are made of a chemical called aspartame. This is pure poison to your body, a very strong excitotoxin, which is much more damaging than sugar.
Stop using aspartame in its many sugar substitute forms immediately. These kill brain and nerve cells. They play havoc with your brain and adrenals. They stop normal adrenal function, which is involved in utilizing carbs and sugar.
It’s also messes up female hormone production. It is a big factor in creating hypoglycemia, hyperglycemia and diabetes. They cause excessive weight gain and abnormal nutrient absorption.
Starting with the air we breathe and the water we drink, then the thousands of chemicals we come into contact with each day, we are polluting our bodies with toxic substances at an alarming rate.
Our bodies have become a dumping ground for toxic waste. There is little doubt that our magnificent biological systems are under attack and operate at nowhere near peak efficiency.
It’s estimated that 50% of the average American diet is consumed away from home. Most of the food is not only lacking in nutrients, it’s filled with poison, literally.
The Great American Fast Food Diet:
The diet consumed daily by a vast number of people has been created and promoted by the giant corporations who own the processed food industries, the chemical engineering industries, the medical industries and the media industries.
They have spent billions of dollars to scientifically engineer food that is addictive while costing next to nothing. They use cheap ingredients and then take out all natural taste before adding their patented chemicals to stimulate the craving reaction, courtesy of their brilliant chemical engineers.
The processes and systems that created convenience and instant gratification have moved the general population into consuming food that is unhealthy and made them blind to that fact.
Fast Foods and their Pleasure Enhancing Chemical Cocktail:
Fast food and all highly processed food have been bio-engineered for maximum stimulation of all the different taste receptors in the mouth connected to the brain pleasure center. You get a shot of dopamine into your brain as a reward for eating their food.
They don’t have to list all of the chemicals they use if they keep the amounts extremely small, only parts per billion. But that’s all it takes to produce the desired results, including feelings of craving and satisfaction.
This ensures you have an addictive craving that overrides any consideration of what the food may be doing to them; but people can’t help themselves.
As the old potato chip ad challenged, “I bet you can’t eat just one!”
The instant gratification of that fast food is just too much to resist. Of course you may choose a healthier diet version of the soft drink and pat yourself on the back; but if you look closely at what diet means you find out that you’re getting something far worse than sugar. You’re drinking the neurotoxin aspartame.
We have no real way of knowing the full extent of the chemical wizardry those talented engineers concocted to give us our instantly gratifying meals.
We do know that we start to salivate just thinking about them. It used to be that taste was a reliable indicator of the quality of the food we ate. Not anymore.
Home Cooking:
But let’s say you don’t eat out that much, that you cook at home. Well, that doesn’t mean what it did in the 50’s. That’s when they were still making things from scratch. Before the trend for being modern took over with all its conveniences, like TV dinners, meals in a can and cake or pancake mix in a box. Real home cooking has become a lost art and it’s unfortunate. Home cooking now typically means ordering in and having your cooked meal delivered to you.
I get it. You’re trying but you only have so much time and so much to do. But honestly, with a little planning you can prepare nutritious meals at home that are way healthier.
Think about where you can buy high quality ingredients and download recipes that allow you to create great, healthy, tasty meals quickly. The extra effort is worth it!!
Start Eating Real Food with High Nutritional Value That Makes You Healthy
There is something you can call your healthy diet and you probably know what that is, generally. Everyone’s body is different and unique. Listen to yours and don’t worry about what’s popular right now with the influencers.
Your ideal diet probably wouldn’t be ideal for everyone else. If you’re being honest with yourself you can usually tell when you’re eating healthy and when you aren’t.
I suggest that in addition to your protein and fruit, you can include lots of greens and other vegetables for their enzymes and nutrients.
If it feels right for you then include raw vegetables, perhaps in the form of juices for the enzymes and detoxing ability.
Eating Healthy Can Be Difficult for Many Reasons:
Maybe high quality natural or organic food isn’t available. Maybe you don’t have the money to pay for it.
It’s likely you have a busy schedule that doesn’t allow much time to eat or cook.
Perhaps you’ve never learned what’s healthy. Or, you may not know how to cook, but you can learn!
You can still consciously choose better options within your limitations instead of settling for processed food.
A healthy mindset will always lead you in the right direction to enable you to switch to a high nutritional value diet one step at a time. Use your common sense to eat as healthy as your circumstances will allow.
Results of a Healthy Diet May Not Be Experienced Right Away:
People often become discouraged because the results of a healthy diet aren’t seen immediately. Health is not an instant gratification activity.
Bad health happened over a long period of time and reversing it will take time also. Just remember that subtle, but steady changes are happening inside even before you can see it on the outside.
Keep your healing mindset focused on your vision of being healthy and healed. Don’t listen to negative thoughts, stay focused and consistent, it will happen.
